Terms of Service
Last updated: April 2026
These terms govern your use of Folio. By creating an account you agree to them. This is a placeholder draft — replace with a real Terms of Service before launch.
1. The service
Folio is a behavioral decision layer for product teams. We ingest your product events (via SDK, API, or PostHog webhook), help you define retention goals, propose cohorts and recommendations, and serve approved copy through a headless decisions API your app renders. We maintain the product and store your data on our infrastructure.
2. Your account
You're responsible for the security of your account credentials and for everything that happens through them. Don't share them. Don't try to circumvent any access controls.
3. Your data
Data you upload to Folio stays yours. We process it solely to provide the service. We don't train models on it. We don't sell it.
4. Acceptable use
Don't use Folio for anything illegal, harmful, or that infringes on others' rights. Don't try to break, overload, or reverse-engineer the service. We may suspend accounts that do.
5. Payment, refunds, cancellation
Paid plans bill in advance. You can cancel anytime; cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. We'll refund pro-rata in cases of clear product failure on our end.
6. Termination
You can delete your account at any time. We may terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice when feasible. After termination we keep your data for 30 days then delete it.
7. Liability
Folio is provided "as is." Our total liability is capped at what you've paid us in the prior 12 months.
8. Changes
We'll update these terms occasionally. We'll email you at least 14 days before any material change. Your continued use after the change means you accept it.
